The company will become a niche producer of specialty coated papers and media to exploit demand for product in the consistently strong growth inkjet media market.
The core market is European high quality end uses, which are dominated by photographic, CAD/GIS and advertising.
Wide format extrusion and coating equipment accommodates rolls 431-2540mm wide, 25-45m long and accounts for 60% market size.
Narrow format comprises of photo paper, A4, A3 and accounts for the other 40%.
The overall European market is estimated to be 420,000 tonnes with a further 300,000 tonnes of lower grade product which we can enter into if requested.
Market demand in this niche segment is growing at approx. 5% CAGR. The industry shows organic growth of 16% within the next five years.
Our company plans to gain 8-10% of the European high end market within the first 5 years of operation. Our full capacity output is 31,000 tonnes per year (representing 8-10% of all the high end market, or 4% of the total market).
We plan to operate from a completely new purpose built plant at Knockaconny, Monaghan, Ireland, managed initially by experienced German Directors.
The factory will produce up 31,000 tonnes per annum of product in output by year 3.
It will employ almost 353 people by year 5 and we are seeking Government support in from the Industrial Development Authority (IDA).
The plant will be the biggest and most flexible of its kind in Europe. The factory is approximately 18,000 sq. meters in size and will take approximately 17 months to complete.
It accommodates an extrusion line, coating line, finishing department, paper storage, R&D department and administrative offices.
Equipment will be top of the range from suppliers which include industry leading brands such as Kroenert, Voith, Bielomatik and Goebels.

MMF Ltd are planning a state-of-the-art paper converting site at Knockconny Industrial Park, Monaghan in Ireland.
The plant would be the biggest and most flexible of its kind in Europe and is being worked on with support from Monaghan County Council and the Irish Government as well as EU funding.
The team has selected a 19 acre site at Knockconny Industrial Park, Monaghan Ireland, where MMF has designed a 200,000 sq ft factory. The site and surrounding areas has been subject to a regeneration programme. To date, phase one of the program has been completed.
